Aircraft

Our Department of Aviation Logistics works closely with industry partners and research collaborators to offer innovative solutions and services to advance aircraft development from the perspective of aviation logistics. Our main goal is to find better solutions for aircraft handling. This includes proposing modifications to the aircraft, such as loading and unloading systems, to improve efficiency and comfort during handling. Additionally, we explore the field of modular systems for loose and containerized aircraft loading to explore their versatile applications. Another focus of our work is the development of equipment for aircraft handling. We seek automation options to enhance the efficiency of aircraft handling processes. Simultaneously, we are working on the digitization of communication surrounding aircraft handling to improve information flow and reduce errors. Sustainability is a crucial aspect of our work in aircraft handling. We advocate for zero-emission equipment to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable aircraft handling practices. Furthermore, we offer consulting services in safety and human factors management. Through active research in this area, we not only enhance safety during aircraft handling but also reduce aircraft damages and associated costs for airlines, ground handlers, and airports. This leads to fewer network disruptions caused by aircraft damages and resulting delays. Our Department of Aviation Logistics is committed to continuously developing and implementing innovative solutions to drive aircraft development from the perspective of aviation logistics. We collaborate closely with our partners to make aircraft handling more efficient, safer, and more sustainable.
