Our diverse customers include stakeholders such as airport operators, air freight forwarders, airlines, handling agents, aircraft manufacturers, real estate developers, and public funding agencies.
Bearing a wealth of industrial expertise and an in-depth understanding of aviation logistics, especially within cargo operations, we have established ourselves as leading authorities in the realm of air transport logistics. Being part of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, encompassing 76 independent institutes and a workforce of around 30,350 professionals, allows us to seamlessly blend aviation-specific insights with knowledge from kindred industries. Our collaborative efforts with other departments and institutes facilitate the cross-pollination of ideas, channeling successful concepts and pioneering technical solutions into the domain of aviation logistics and its interconnected spheres.

Digital Testbed Air Cargo (DTAC) is a research project that investigates digital applications and solutions in the air cargo sector. The aim is to increase the efficiency of the air freight transport chain through improved networking and digital process support.

TULIPS
TULIPS develops innovations for environmentally friendly airports in order to achieve emission-free airports by 2030 and climate-neutral air traffic by 2050. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport serves as a test site for 17 projects.

FLITE
FLITE is an acronym for Fuel via Low Carbon Integrated Technology From Ethanol. The FLITE consortium has set itself the goal of building a state-of-the-art production plant that uses ethanol-based alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) technology to produce synthetic paraffinic paraffin (SPK), which significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional jet fuel.
