Baggage

Revolutionising baggage logistics

Our focus at the Aviation Logistics Department is on revolutionizing baggage logistics in the aviation industry. With a noticeable shortage of skilled personnel impacting operations at airports, we specialize in crafting innovative automated systems to tackle these challenges. Leveraging our expertise in automation and baggage handling, we develop solutions that optimize efficiency, precision, and reliability.

Use of modern technologies

Our approach encompasses a wide array of technologies, from advanced robotic systems to complex algorithms. By tailoring groundbreaking solutions, we empower airports and baggage handlers to expedite luggage processing while reducing reliance on manual labor. Our dedication extends to shaping the future of baggage logistics, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and enjoyable air travel experience for passengers worldwide.

Pioneering work in robotics

As leaders in aviation logistics, we pioneer robotics solutions to innovate manual baggage handling processes. Seamlessly integrating with central infrastructure, such as airport terminals' Baggage Handling Systems, our state-of-the-art robotics optimize efficiency throughout the baggage journey. Prioritizing worker safety, we significantly reduce manual labor needs and mitigate the risk of injuries.

Evaluation of alternative solutions

Our department of Aviation Logistics excels not only in robotics development but also in evaluating alternative solutions, such as lifting aids and exoskeletons, showcasing our commitment to comprehensive advancements in aviation logistics. This approach streamlines operations and contributes to a safer, more sustainable future for the industry.
Additionally, we are engaged in future technology development, such as camera recognition, AR-Make-up-Support, or AI Fingerprinting of Baggage. These cutting-edge technologies provide future alternatives to paper-based baggage tags or RFID baggage tags, further enhancing efficiency and accuracy in baggage logistics.

Project BagBOT

One of our key projects, the BagBOT development project, addresses manual baggage handling challenges at airports. Led by our Aviation Logistics department, we aim to pioneer a fully automated baggage loading and unloading system. Partnering with Munich Airport, we are developing a gripping solution for handling baggage within aircraft holds. By reducing labor intensity and enhancing worker safety, this project aims to establish a more efficient and reliable baggage handling system, addressing industry challenges head-on.
