Identification is the basis for numerous technologies and concepts of Industry 4.0. This is often accompanied by the desire to record and transmit other data in addition to ID, location and time. Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor technologies are used to generate such data. There is an almost infinite amount of variants from radio standards like NB-IoT, LoRa, 5G, Bluetooth or UWB to sensor devices like temperature, shock or humidity to the processing of data in web platforms or AI algorithms. We have a broad knowledge of these variants, their price structure and suitable providers and can thus evaluate the feasibility and design IoT solutions tailored to the specific use case. This includes the monitoring of transport processes as well as the intralogistic use of IoT and the localization of objects.

In doing so, we develop individual concepts in close cooperation and thus position you sustainably and future-proof. Thanks to the close links between the departments within the institute, we are also able to manufacture and test small quantities of individual IoT devices. Thanks to the modern infrastructure of the IML, a later transfer to series production is quickly possible.
