Supply Chain Law and Corporate Social Responsibility

German and European supply chain law

Since January 2024, the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act has obliged companies in Germany with more than 1,000 employees to ensure compliance with human rights and environmental protection requirements in their own operations and their direct suppliers. In this context, companies are faced with new, legally prescribed tasks. These include the publication of a policy statement, annual risk analyses, mandatory employee training, the definition of preventive and remedial measures, comprehensive complaints management and an extensive reporting system. The European Corporate Social Due Diligence Directive extends these due diligence obligations to the entire supply chain. We support companies in implementing these legal requirements and show them ways to align their supply chain processes with the new requirements.
