
The future-oriented “Leadership Development Programme“ of the Digital Hub Logistics is aimed specifically at young professionals and talents from the fields of logistics, supply chain management and IT. A dynamic series of workshops provides a deep dive into the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of the industry - from digitalization and AI to sustainable supply chains and agile management strategies.
Another important aspect of the program is the strong community it creates. It provides a network of like-minded professionals who can share knowledge, tackle challenges together and build real collaborations. This dedicated community not only shares knowledge, but actively shapes the future.
The intensive programme, which consists of four deep dive modules, will provide participants with an in-depth exploration of cutting-edge strategies and tools in various logistics areas that are crucial for long-term success. Three modules will take place at Fraunhofer IML. The programme's aim is to equip participants with the knowledge, insights and practical skills necessary to confidently lead their company into the future. A buddy system fosters collaboration and shared learning experiences among participants throughout the course. Networking activities are integrated to build lasting professional relationships and broaden participants' industry perspectives.
This module focuses on holistic approaches to sustainability and shows how digitalization can support companies in developing sustainable and attractive business models, especially in the logistics sector. Participants will explore different methods of business model development and apply them in practice. Special emphasis will be placed on analyzing customer needs and developing innovative solutions that are both economically and environmentally sustainable. Participants can learn from use cases from a well-tested practical business context.

In this module, participants will take a deep dive into open source principles to expand their knowledge of key concepts, tools, and processes. Participants will learn how open source can be used to drive innovation, reduce costs, and improve industry-wide collaboration. This module draws on design thinking workshop formats.

This workshop focuses on the social implications of automation beyond the technological and economic potential of new warehouse technologies. Participants can expect to explore human-technology interaction by discussing a variety of robot types. The goal is to find ways to increase user acceptance. The module provides key insights into building a flexible and scalable robot to meet evolving warehouse needs. The interactive methods include a world café for artificial intelligence and robotics.
